Deer Park High School Volleyball Triumphs Over Riverside

In a showdown, Deer Park High School emerged victorious against Riverside High School for a 3-1 win. Riverside initially took the lead with the first set, but Deer Park roared back, winning the following three sets to secure the triumph.

The match unfolded at Riverside High School, where both teams displayed remarkable sportsmanship and unwavering determination. Riverside stormed ahead in the first set, posting a commanding 25-19 win. 

Deer Park’s Camryn Chapman proved to be a pivotal player, leading her team with an impressive 13 kills, while Olivia Oergel of Riverside delivered a solid performance with six kills. Assisting their respective teams were Emma Oergel of Riverside with 11 assists and Delaney Newman of Deer Park with an impressive 32 assists.

Blocking proved a crucial aspect of the game, with Olivia Oergel from Riverside and Mady Ellingson from Deer Park each contributing two blocks to their teams’ defensive efforts. Additionally, serving was a highlight, with Kynlea Toner of Riverside delivering three aces and Emma Brownell of Deer Park notching up an impressive five aces.

Digs played a significant role in the match, with Olivia Walcott of Riverside racking up an impressive 28 digs, while Emma Brownell of Deer Park showcased her defensive prowess with 22 digs.
