Elizabeth Fausti Crowned Miss Deer Park 2023

Elizabeth Fausti, Carly Shines, and Mackenzie Hays won big at the “The Greatest Show,” Miss Deer Park Scholarship Association 2023 program.

The program featured seven bright young ladies vying to represent Deer Park for the upcoming year. The Miss Deer Park Program gave out $14,200 in scholarships by the night’s end, thanks to the generosity of businesses, organizations, and individuals in our area. 

Elizabeth Fausti took the crown of Miss Deer Park as well as the scholarships of Bill & Bette Cox Community Service, Physical Fitness, Self Expression, Creative and Performing Arts, Presence and Composure, Judge’s Interview, and Scholastics. Elizabeth will receive $6,600 in scholarship funds to pursue her business aspirations at Washington State University. 

Carly Shines was crowned one of the Deer Park Princesses and will receive $3,400 in scholarship funds. Carly plans to use the funds to attend Eastern Washington University in Cheney to earn a teaching degree

Mackenzie Hayes was also selected for a Deer Park Princess position and received two additional scholarships for Spirit of Deer Park and Be the Light Award. Mackenzie was bestowed $4,200 with those scholarships and plans to join the Air Force and become a Special Operations Weather Technician.

Please take a moment to congratulate all the contestants of that night, Brianna Crist, Carly Shines, Elayna Shupe, Elizabeth Fausti, Mackenzie Hayes, Malia Valenzuela, and Shelby Dyer, who worked diligently to prepare for this event. Every contestant contributed exceptionally to a seamless performance showcasing their physical fitness, creative and self expression, presence and composure, and responding to a question posed by the judges.

  • Spirit of Deer Park for $300 sponsored by Deer Park Veterinary Clinic.
  • Be the Light Award in honor of Miss Mary Holweger for $500 sponsored by Little Blessings Christian School & Childcare.
  • Physical Fitness for $500 sponsored by Sculley’s Automotive Repair Inc.
  • Self Expression for $300 sponsored by Edward Jones Financial Advisor Ryan Moore.
  • Creative and Performing Arts for $300 sponsored by Grrs ‘N’ Purrs Grooming)
  • Presence and Composure for $500 sponsored by The Pickett Fence.
  • Judge’s Interview for $500 sponsored by Little Blessings Christian School & Childcare.
  • The Scholastics scholarship for $500 was sponsored by Bates DDS.
