August Free Food Distribution

This week marks the last summer food distribution provided by 2nd Harvest in partnership with Faith Lutheran Church. Each distribution has been in high demand, with many local families benefiting.

Faith Lutheran Church has been sponsoring this event for several years now and has been able to help many people in the process. Sponsorship does not just involve paying for some expenses needed to have the 2nd Harvest Mobile Market come to Deer Park. It also requires organizers to provide volunteers and the location for distribution at its parking lot at 214 S. Weber Rd, Deer Park, WA 99006.

Each event can help up to two hundred and fifty families. The final event will be on August 10th, a Wednesday, and will run from 10am to noon or while supplies last. These events are open to the public and require no documentation. People can get free produce, meat, shelf-stable foods, and other nutritious products. Organizers follow CDC guidelines, so they use a drive-thru delivery system.
