Shamrock Glen Grand Opening

Mayor Tim Verzal cuts the ribbon with assistance from members of Hayden Homes and the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce.

The grand opening of Shamrock Glen was held at the newly completed model home just off of Weber Street. The event featured giveaways along with food from Masters Brewhouse and Kona Ice.

Shamrock Glen, a Hayden Home development, is one of the biggest and most visible housing projects in Deer Park. Due to current demand, the homes around the area have been selling quickly; however, Hayden Homes has maintained several buildings available for sale. As a result of partnerships with other businesses Hayden Homes had established prior to the pandemic, they minimized the labor and supply chain issues facing most builders through this period.

Existing Residents Also Benefit
The Shamrock Glen project benefits the existing Deer Park residents by slowing the inflation-based increase in taxes because of how Washington State has structured property taxes. New homes do not mean higher costs for everyone. In many cases, new services become available for lower prices when the number of residents support the business models. For example, a hotel or second grocery store becomes much more likely as the city grows. Funds from water connection fees for each new home offset costs to the city and helps cover the costs for required water and sewer infrastructure updates. Recent improvements to Weber Street are a result of the Shamrock Glen project.

Shamrock Glen Homes
Earlier plans indicated a design for 200 homes and possibly additional apartment complexes. The homes range from three to five bedrooms and up to 2,400 square feet of floor space. According to the Hayden Homes website, the prices range from $350K to $465K.

The model home is open:
Sunday: Noon – 6:00pm
Saturday, Tuesday & Wednesday: 10:00am – 6:00pm
Located just off of Weber and B Street at 132 Pippin Ave.
