Deer Park Rotary Recognizes Sculley’s Automotive

Deer Park Rotary President Joe Feist, Jeremy Sculley owner of Sculley’s Automotive, and Rachea Allert during the Community Award presentation.

In appreciation of their outstanding support, Sculley’s Automotive was recognized by Deer Park Rotary. Sculley’s Automotive, located on 33 W. Crawford Street in Deer Park, does more than check brakes and change tires. In a recent meeting, Deer Park’s Rotary Club gifted a Community Award to Sculley’s Automotive for their aid within the Riverside High School community.

Rachea Allert, Riverside DLC (Developmental Learning Center) teacher, presented Jeremy Sculley with his Rotary award. Over the past seven years, Sculley’s Automotive has provided a safe haven for students who have struggled within their academic environment. Sculley provided jobs and side-by-side training for Riverside students, teaching them basic car fundamental skills such as changing tires and oil filters and completing vehicle inspections.

“With the support of businesses such as Sculley’s our special education students are able to learn workplace skills that they are not able to get inside the walls of Riverside.  We are extremely thankful for the opportunities we have been given.  These outstanding businesses are vital to the growth and success of this program,” said Rachea Allert during the meeting.
