Closing The Hotspot

The discontinuation of newly created business The Hotspot was announced by the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce President. A letter was sent out to several small business owners and individuals in Deer Park.

The President of the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce wrote, on May 18th, a letter announcing the official termination of The Hotspot; a self-supporting business that opened back in November of 2021.

In this letter, the Chamber of Commerce announced their achievements within the Board of Directors; “creating an environment that facilitates relationships through networking, delivering relevant information by the best means possible and working to remove hurdles that hinder the development and growth of business.”

While the Chamber of Commerce remains strong in their support and business development, it was determined that The Hotspot, while valuable, caused financial damage, outweighing the support that The Hotspot brought to the community. Without the provided income that The Hotspot hoped to bring, it was ultimately decided to close The Hotspot and move back into the space at City Hall.
