Deer Park Rotary Installs New Leader

Deer Park Rotary announced their new president, Joe Feist, will begin his duties this month.

Deer Park Rotary installed Joe Feist as its new club president.  Feist assumed his duties this July 1st, 2021, and will complete his year of leadership on June 30th, 2022.  Present for the Deer Park High School ceremony was Feist, outgoing President Ken Russell, and presenter Past District Governor (PDG) Bob Carroll.  Members of the Deer Park Rotary Club were able to attend online using ZOOM.

This year underlines the club’s clear dedication to the support of local school districts in Springdale, Deer Park, and Riverside through the awarding of significant cash scholarships and sponsoring literacy events in the districts. This long-term commitment has previously brought Russell, Superintendent of the Riverside School District, and now Feist, Principal at the Deer Park High School, into essential leadership posts.

Superintendent Russell brought leadership and focus during an incredibly challenging year due to the pandemic. His professional steering of weekly ZOOM meetings held their club together.  Deer Park Rotary anticipates a more predictable year ahead, and they welcome Principal Feist to be their leader.

Beginning July 15th, 2021, Deer Park Rotary will be meeting in person at First Street Bar and Grill, 122 W First Street in Deer Park on the first and third Thursdays of the month and will continue ZOOM meetings on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month. They welcome members of the community to join them.
