Swinyard Park Suspects Additional Case

A third suspect has been arrested in connection to an incident in Swinyard Park in Deer Park that happened over Memorial Weekend. Leading to additional charges for the three suspects in separate assault investigations.

Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies identified and located the third suspect involved in the fight where a pistol was brandished and fired on May 31, 2021, at Swinyard Park in Deer Park.  The third suspect, 20-year-old Elie M. Woods was arrested and booked into the Spokane County Jail.

Woods initially tried to run from Deputies but later surrendered and was safely taken into custody. Woods was booked into the Spokane County Jail for Malicious Mischief 2nd Degree and Criminal Mischief.

The first suspect arrested, 23-year-old Greygory C. Wilson, remains in jail charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 2nd Degree, Malicious Mischief 2nd Degree, and Assault 4th Degree in relation to the Swinyard Park incident.

The second suspect, 19-year-old Dylan J. Smith, remains in jail charged with Malicious Mischief 2nd Degree, Criminal Mischief, and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon.

However, the story does not end there. Deputy Ennis who was assisting in the Swinyard Park investigation was also conducting another investigation into an assault case that happened at Bear Lake in the afternoon of May 31st, the same day as the Swinyard Park incident. Each case had a different witness that was involved.

Deputy Ennis learned Greygory C. Wilson, Dylan J. Smith, and Elie M. Woods were suspects in the Bear Lake case.

Through this investigation, Deputy Ennis developed probable cause to charge the trio with the following additional charges.

Dylan J. Smith: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 1st Degree, Intimidating a Witness, Criminal Mischief and Assault 4th Degree.  He’s also being held on an Assault 2nd charge from a previous incident and a Washington State Department of Corrections Hold.

Greygory C. Wilson: Intimidating a Witness, Criminal Mischief and Assault 4th Degree.  He’s also being held on a Washington State Department of Corrections Hold.

Elie Woods: Intimidating a Witness, Criminal Mischief and Assault 4th Degree.  He was also booked for an unrelated active felony warrant for Burglary.
