Tell Me A Story

November marks the 21st anniversary of National Novel Writing Month. This quintessential writing challenge is put on by a non-profit organization known as NaNoWriMo.

NaNoWriMo challenges writers to sit down and hammer out a rough draft of their novel, with a goal word count of 50,000 words.  This number may seem daunting, but consider that the number doesn’t matter so much and that the real goal is to start AND finish your story.

“Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought about writing a novel,” states the creative organization.
