Mayor Reminds Social Distancing Works

Mayor Verzal reminds all of us social distancing and mask-coverings do work, and shared his own recent exposure to COVID-19 as an example.

A week after attending a mayor’s gathering, he received the call no one wants to hear – someone there was COVID positive and he was exposed. Although he wore a mask and practiced social distancing during the meeting, it was still discomforting news to get. To his relief, a COVID-19 test revealed he was negative. The mayor attributes this to having taken the precautionary measures advised. He encourages all of us to continue practicing social distancing and wearing masks because it does work!
