As you are probably aware, Governor Inslee has issued a statewide order closing schools, canceling public gatherings, and enforcing social distancing. Public libraries have always been reliable and safe gathering places for children and their families. However it has become obvious that there isn’t a way for the libraries to remain open while ensuring the safety of staff and communities.

State & County Restrictions Starting March 16

Over the last few days, restrictions to gatherings and businesses have been changing quickly. Currently, there are new restrictions on gatherings of all sizes. Groups of 50 and larger are prohibited by an executive order issued by Governor Jay Inslee.

DP City Hall Closed To Public

In response to the COVID-19 risks, Deer Park City Hall will be closed to all walk in customers until further notice. Some city hall employees will be working in the building;, however, the doors will remain closed. Office hours have also been changed to 8am-noon Monday through Friday.

Rotary Student of the Month February 2020

Deer Park Rotary raises money through an annual Petunia Sale in the spring, an annual Golf Tournament in September, and other activities supported by their local community. Much of their fundraising goes toward support of education in the Deer Park area, including scholarships for Deer Park, Riverside, and Mary Walker High Schools, and the Students of the Month Program.
