Firmament Foundations

Cyan fans ran the gambit of emotions through the 31 day Kickstarter campaign for their proposed new game, Firmament.  With a burst of contributions within the first couple of hours that shot the total over $60,000, there was hope and excitement.  The predictable slow down as the days progressed wasn’t too concerning, until there were a mere two days left and the game was not yet completely funded.  Premature disappoint or skeptical hope was felt by many.

The hours ticked down and gradually the fund grew; it was sure to be close. With 26 hours to go, Firmament was funded.  I imagine there was a collective sigh of relief, quickly followed by cheers and celebration.

18,420 backers pulled together to make this project a reality, with the final tally on Kickstarter being  $1,433,161 pledged towards the $1,285,000 goal.
