Spokane County Fire District 4 has acquired an aerial platform truck, also known as a ladder truck, which will be housed at Deer Park’s Station 41. The truck, now dubbed Tower 41, is a 1995 Simon Duplex 102’ aerial platform, purchased from the City of Yakima.
A recent post on the Fire District’s Facebook page stated, “This new apparatus will allow us opportunity [sic] to serve the increasing commercial growth and population in the district, as well as help maintain our current Washington Survey and Rating Board insurance rates.”
Looking ahead, District 4 says that their next steps will be to outfit the new truck and train their personnel as drivers and platform operators. They tell the community to expect to see Tower 41 out and about in the next 6 months.
