U.S. Highway 395 has been officially renamed the Thomas S. “Tom” Foley Memorial Highway, after the longtime congressman for Eastern Washington.
In honor of his work for Washington, the state legislature passed a measure last session calling for the renaming of the highway.
Tom Foley served as Washington’s 5th district representative for 30 years, and was a fierce champion of local infrastructure needs, including work on Highway 395 itself.
