Alycyn Denton Crowned Miss Deer Park 2022

Tonight, tickets were sold out for the 2022 Miss Deer Park Scholarship Program annual event. Six local Deer Park High School junior or sophomore ladies competed this year.

Alycyn Denton was crowned Miss Deer Park 2022 by the former Miss Deer Park Kaity Wacker. 2021 Princesses Xandria Moss and Mason Griffin awarded their crowns to the new 2022 Princesses Zoey Krous and Faith Marrocco.

“The show must go on” is the saying and the Miss Deer Park Scholarship Association takes it to heart as they maneuver a third year of creative planning. Eight junior girls worked their hearts out, condensing three months of training into two intensive weeks of practice, each hoping to earn the title of Miss Deer Park.

Friendly Neighborhood Link Crew

Lately, things have been a little chaotic. With COVID-19 going on, schools can’t function normally. Deer Park High School is part of a small percent of schools doing in person learning during 2020-2021. However, this doesn’t bode well for the freshmen who are ascending from middle school. Luckily, Deer Park has Link Crew. Link Crew is a group of leadership students who have put a lot of time and energy into making the school more welcoming for the incoming students. So far, the leaders have accomplished many things.
