Embrace the community spirit at Deer Park’s annual Pumpkin Lane celebration this weekend. This year’s event boasts an extensive list of participating businesses. After Pumpkin Lane, people can enjoy hearty dinners, live music, and even a haunting experience at Deer Park Drama’s Haunted Halls.
Drug laws, gas taxes, and apprenticeship programs were all discussed at the most recent Deer Park Chamber of Commerce luncheon. Representative Jacquelin Maycumber presented an update on the legislative session, along with her positions and actions.

Large lots of land were annexed into the city with a split decision to bypass the city’s routine ordinance procedures. Lakeside Development, a land development, is slated to build 111 homes. The City Council also approved a contract with Retail Strategies to bring more national chains to Deer Park.
