Deer Park’s latest Blitz Build came to a wonderful conclusion in June with a home dedication ceremony for two partner families. Each received the keys to their brand new homes in the Habitat For Humanity’s Hope Meadows development in Deer Park.

Come on out to Clayton on August 3rd for the 36th annual Brickyard Day, for a day filled with food, fun, and exceptional entertainment. Here is a short list of the adventures to be had at the celebration.

Main Street Market opened its doors the beginning of May and held their grand opening on June 21st and 22nd. They had a silent auction with over 40 gift baskets and gift certificates from local businesses in the Deer Park area.

On June 14th the new Springdale Dental Clinic opened its doors to the community with a ribbon cutting ceremony. On hand to celebrate were: Senator Shelly Short, Representative Jacqueline Maycumber, and Springdale Mayor Liz Calderwood.

Jim & Jason McCray are the two hard-working brothers who have purchased Precious Metals Autobody, now renamed Precious Metals Collision Center. They will be hosting a public Grand Re-Opening celebration on July 13th from 11am-1pm.

Students from Deer Park Middle School participated in a citywide, hands-on service project. This year the project involved six different service projects including washing windows, planting flowers, painting bleachers, clearing trails, and picking up trash.

David Matz is the City of Deer Park’s new Code Enforcement Officer. Matz will be helping Deer Park residents comply with city code on their property and the area outside of their homes.

Spokane County Library District is asking voters to consider a measure on the August 6, 2019, primary ballot to restore the property tax levy that funds operations of its 11 community libraries.
