Tonight: Santa Rides Again

A change in Deer Park’s holiday tradition isn’t stopping Santa, who will bring joy to families with two special events: a festive street route through town and a cozy open house at Station 41, offering something for everyone to enjoy this season.

Santa is making dual appearances in Deer Park this year with a community-driven street patrol and an open house at Fire Station 41. Local businesses and organizations have stepped in to ensure the tradition continues to bring smiles to residents. Families can join in the holiday cheer at the fire station or along the planned route.

Santa’s annual visit to Deer Park has taken on a new twist this year, sparking curiosity and excitement among residents. Spokane County Fire District #4 announced on December 5th that their traditional Santa patrol would shift to an open house format. Families can meet Santa at Station 41, located at 315 E. Crawford St., on December 20th and 21st from 6pm to 9pm. The event offers free photos with Santa, hot chocolate, and candy canes to warm the holiday spirit.

The Greater Deer Park Area Chamber of Commerce announced on December 19th via Facebook that local businesses had rallied together to keep the festive spirit alive in the streets. Starting at 6:30pm on December 20th, Santa will embark on a community-sponsored patrol. The planned route takes him along Vernon Avenue, C Street, Weber Road, 6th Street, Colville Rd, and 8th Street, Main Street, and ends at Bicycles By Deron’s bike shop at 105 E. Crawford Street. The patrol’s sponsors include the Greater Deer Park Area Chamber of Commerce, Bicycles By Deron, Billy Costello-State Farm, and the Deer Park Scope Office, which aim to spread joy with candy canes for children and smiles for all.

Whether meeting Santa at the fire station or catching his street patrol, the people of Deer Park have two festive opportunities to make lasting holiday memories this year.
