February 8th, 1956 – July 22, 2024

 

Wendy Michelle Lauderdale, 68, a cherished resident of Loon Lake and Deer Park for many years, passed away peacefully at her home in Deer Park on July 22, 2024. 

Wendy is survived by her father, three brothers and two sisters, numerous nieces and nephews, and her long time friend, Hap. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Tony Lee Whicker, her sister, Leah(Lauderdale) Aiono and her mother, Nancy.

Born to Bruce and Nancy (Ward) Lauderdale, Wendy grew up on a farm in Deer Park, where she was the eldest of seven siblings. Her son Tony was the love of her life, and his untimely loss was a profound sorrow. Wendy was a devoted aunt, known for her deep connections with her nieces and nephews, her unwavering work ethic, and her infectious sense of humor. Her distinctive laugh was well known and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

 

A memorial service for Wendy will be held on August 17, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Woodland Cemetery in Deer Park, followed by a Celebration of Life at Earl D. Mix Park in Deer Park.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Wendy’s honor.
