Elizabeth Ann Fenn

Elizabeth Ann Fenn, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on April 11, 2024 at the age of 86. Born on October 20, 1937 in Holyoke, Massachusetts to Franklin Lester and Mary Irene Moody, their only child.  They relocated to Long Beach, California during her high school years. Elizabeth Ann graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Long Beach in 1955 and married Samuel Joseph Fenn December 17, 1955. She eventually moved to and resided in both Spokane and Deer Park, Washington with her son. Elizabeth Ann spent her last six months in sunny Dana Point, California with her daughter. She is survived by her son Dave Fenn, daughter-in-law Kelly Fenn, daughter Elizabeth Sue, son-in-law Randal Sue, 7 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

A Mass will be held in her honor at St. Mary Presentation Catholic Church, 602 E. 6th St., Deer Park, on Saturday, May 11 at 11:00 am, followed by her interment at Holy Redeemer Cemetery. A reception will follow the services.

Letter To The Editor – School Levy Importance

As a city council member in the late 70’s and early 80’s and a city employee for 24 years I have heard a lot of misinformation disseminated through “coffee shop” talk and later social media. It has always concerned me to hear incorrect information passed along by people who don’t bother to ask for the facts, when they are readily available. Right now I am hearing of things being said about the Deer Park School levy, particularly the need for a new bus barn, that are troubling.
