Free Registration for WinterFest 2024 Outhouse Races

Embrace the chilly thrill! Join WinterFest 2024’s Outhouse Races at Deer Park High School. Bring your competitive spirit and a team for a chance to win the glory – registration is FREE!

Deer Park is gearing up for WinterFest 2024, featuring one of its oldest and most beloved events – the Outhouse Races. On Saturday, January 13th, 2024, at Deer Park High School, teams of five will race outhouses in a double elimination event. The event promises laughter, camaraderie, and a dash of friendly competition. This event is sponsored by Billy Costello – State Farm Agent, making registration free!  Organizers hope this will encourage more teams to join in the festivities.

Teams consisting of one rider and four pushers will navigate through the snow-covered course, showcasing their creativity and teamwork. The rules provided by the Kiwanis ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all participants. Pushers’ footwear restrictions prevent the use of spikes or cleats. The rider must remain seated and buckled in during the entirety of the race.

The outhouses used in this quirky event are provided by Deer Park Kiwanis. Races will start promptly at 1pm; registration is open until race time. Participants can pre-print and bring completed entry forms and signed hold-harmless waivers to ensure a smooth and efficient registration process.

The Outhouse Races extend beyond the competition; they’re a platform for friends and families to unite. Spectators are welcome and encouraged to come and cheer on their favorite teams. The winning team’s name will be engraved on the coveted trophy, adding a touch of prestige to the event.

So, mark your calendars for WinterFest 2024. Don’t miss the chance to be part of this cherished Deer Park tradition!
