Riverside Rams Triumph Over Newport In Volleyball Match

In a gripping volleyball clash between the Riverside Rams and Newport, the Rams surged ahead in the first set, setting the stage for an electrifying match. 

The Rams secured the opening set with a score of 25-19, but Newport displayed resilience, bouncing back to win the following two sets. However, Riverside’s determination proved unyielding as they fought back to win the fourth and fifth sets, ultimately claiming victory with a final score of 3-2.

Kills were evenly distributed, with Kaylee Winterroth and Kynlea Toner from Riverside contributing six each, while Lindsay C from Newport led her team with an impressive nine kills. Emma Oergel from Riverside provided 19 assists, closely followed by Sophia Scott of Newport with 13 assists.

Aces played a significant role in the match, with Toner from Riverside delivering three aces and Nora Christie of Newport impressively contributing five aces. In the defensive department, Libero Olivia Walcott from Riverside displayed remarkable agility with seven digs, while Lindsay C of Newport made an impact with an astounding 12 blocks.
