Riverside had its first big test in a showdown against Colville with a matchup of NE A conference contenders. The Rams won the coin toss and deferred, allowing Colville to receive the opening kickoff.

Colville’s initial drive stalled, and they were forced to punt. Riverside’s first drive set the tone for the evening, utilizing a heavy dose of Tyler Lenz’s screen passes to rapidly advance down the field. Their efforts culminated in a short and effective touchdown run by Jake Gaffaney, providing the Rams with an early lead. As the game progressed, Gaffaney’s influence continued to grow, as he added a field goal in the second quarter, extending the Rams’ advantage to 10-0 at halftime.

The third quarter saw another impressive touchdown run by Jake Gaffaney, covering 21 yards. Colville, determined to mount a comeback, managed to put points on the board early in the fourth quarter. However, the Rams quickly responded, with Tyler Lenz making a remarkable 62-yard touchdown reception from Gaffaney.

The final touchdown for the Rams came via an 11-yard pass from Cooper Eagle, solidifying their victory with a final score of 31-7. Riverside showcased both offensive and defensive prowess throughout the game, demonstrating their readiness to compete within the NE A Conference.
