Lady Stags Battled Freeman & Weather

Deer Park Lady Stags soccer battled not only a quality Freeman team Thursday afternoon at Deer Park Elementary. Winds blowing in excess of ten miles per hour made advancing the ball challenging for both sides.

The visitors broke through first in the 37th minute and took that lead to halftime.

Early in the second half, Alysha Watkins hit Rylee Pfeifer in stride with a perfect pass on a play that covered nearly the length of the field, ending with the junior finding the net for the ninth time on the season.

The visiting Scotties would tally in the 64th minute for a 2-1 final.

Two home dates are coming next week, with Northwest Christian on Monday and Colville on Thursday.
