Letter To Editor – Chamber of Commerce Update

Typewriter with paper reading "Letters to the Editor"

We are getting close to the end of the 2023 year. This means we are looking for motivated and community driven individuals that want to take part on next years Board. We will have 4 or 5 open positions. You will be joining Jennifer Shorts Real Estate and Pop Of Pure Photography in helping businesses thrive and further our mission of beautifying “Our Front Porch”, Community Involvement, Communication and Clarity. The 2023 Board has done amazing work to ensure a smooth transition and building the foundation to ensure success! We will also be looking to add members to our Economic Development, Fundraising and Events and Finance Committee. If interested or you have someone in mind who would be a good fit, please reach out to [email protected] or one of our current Board Members for more information.

The Board has excitedly agreed to take the torch regarding the Night Out Against Crime. We are working out the details and will update when we have more information.

The Economic Development team has been hard at work helping to address the communities concerns and ideas. They shared exciting news regarding flowers up and down the main streets in Deer Park, helping to create a more uniform and inviting atmosphere for local businesses! They are also at work to get the roundabouts cleaned up and more appealing.

Save The Dates

The annual Gala will be October 21st at Masters Brewhouse. We already have donations rolling in, including sports tickets! Please reach out if you would like to donate an item for the auction. We will have opportunities for sponsors as well. This is a great advertising opportunity to get your business in front of one the best attended business events in Deer Park!

The Fundraising and Events team has been brainstorming and coming up with great plans for the annual Hometown Christmas celebration. It will on December 2nd. The parade, free pictures with Santa and the Grinch, the tree lighting and much more is in the works and will prove to be our biggest one yet! Sponsorship opportunities will be available for the event too.

A huge thank you to our Board for all their work this year! We are a little over half way through and I can’t wait to see all the great things they will continue to accomplish for the second half of their term!
