Pumpkin Lane 2021

We are fortunate to live in a community where people work together, support each other, and create fantastic events. This year marks the 25th anniversary of Deer Park’s daylight trick-or-treating event, Pumpkin Lane. Leslie Stansbury and Sandra Coleman started the annual event to help keep children safe while out trick-or-treating. The event changed hands and was run by the Deer Park PTO for a few years, and then Danielle and Isaiah Prosser took on the task of keeping Pumpkin Lane alive for the past four years.

Saturday, October 30th, 2021, from 1-4 pm, the streets of Deer Park will fill up with children of all ages dressed in a wide variety of fun costumes.

While candy may be the primary motivation for the children, there will be  other activities for all ages to participate in, including:

  • Doris & Otto from the Spokane Indians will be walking around Deer Park
  • Dexter the Stag from the Deer Park High School will be riding around on a golf cart
  • Horse Drawn Wagon rides
  • Tractor hayrides
  • Precious Metals Collision center is having a car show @ W 111 First St.
  • ServePro Of NW Spokane will have a fun photo booth next to Sculley’s Automotive on “A” St & Main. They will also have coloring pages for kids and a drawing for a family gift basket.
  • Washington Trust Bank will have two cornhole games, prizes, and treats
  • Horizon Credit Union will have a few games to enjoy along with prizes
  • FiveNorth Coffee + Gifts will have a great photo booth set up
  • Farmhouse Froyo will have a “haunted tunnel.”
  • Bicycles By Deron will have impromptu flatland freestyle shows happening as well as a vintage bicycle/BMX show in the yard (free to enter) Bring your old school bikes down and show off! Deer Park Mafia BMX Racing Team will be in town, as well as lots of music and candy.

Remember as you walk or drive around Deer Park on Saturday to watch out for the kids and families.  Thank your local businesses, and continue to shop local!
