Deer Park Yard Sale Coming This Weekend

Deer Park Yard Sale (DPYS), held on the first weekend in August, is fast approaching.  If you are interested in being a part of the fun, organizers say that it is not too late to add your yard sale for the three-day event. You can sign up for as many of the three days as you want.

DPYS will be held this year on August 6th-8th. Participants are encouraged to practice proper hygiene and physical distancing recommendations. In addition, local businesses are invited to have a sidewalk sale.

Since 2009, DPYS has organized local yard and garage sales into one big event! Individuals have used this time of year to clean out their unused household goods by hosting a sale or enjoying a day of bargain hunting and treasure seeking. Shoppers have come from all over Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and even Canada!

Map For Event

The DPYS site will have an online and printable map of the sales with additional information included for each location if the host has provided it.  Registering and adding your sale is always free up until the day of the event! However, the map will be made live by organizers to the public on August 5th.

Whether you are a host or a shopper, the DPYS site has a few helpful tips to make the weekend successful.

Hosts:

Advertise your sale! DPYS will be advertising the sales of the event, but it doesn’t hurt to spread the word about it. Tell your friends and neighbors, and encourage them to take part. Create signs that are large and clear to help direct visitors to your sale. For more tips, visit:

Shoppers:

Be sure to make a list of what you need and map out your route! Remember to have refreshments on hand as you may be out for a while and need to stay fed and hydrated. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or negotiate. For more tips, visit:

For more information, visit DPYardsale.com. Answers to several questions can conveniently be found on their FAQ page. In addition, a contact form is available for any additional questions. You can also follow the event on Facebook: FB.me/DPYardsale to keep up with any updates.
