Katherine Lindstrom’s Medical Support

As many may already know, Katherine Lindstrom (a rising junior at Deer Park High School) was recently involved in a very serious car accident.

Right now, Katherine is hospitalized in Sacred Heart’s ICU with extreme injuries. These extreme injuries include a head injury, fractured ribs on both sides, pelvic fractures, a broken clavicle, brain swelling, damage to her basal ganglia, a collapsed lung, left side carotid artery damage, and other injuries that have come to light as the days go by.

To support Katherine and her family as she embarks on a long path to recovery, community members Andrea Bickley and Lisa Snyder have created a GoFundMe page on behalf of the Lindstrom’s. Medical bills and other expenses are going to be substantial. In times of tragedy, Deer Park is known for coming together to support one another. In just a week, over $20,000 has been raised in support of the Lindstrom family, and more donations are being generously shared by the community.

“I have been blessed to know [the Lindstrom] family for a number of years now… I am continually blown away by the amount of love they have for each other and the community they live in,” says Bickley on the GoFundMe page. “Katherine is a smart, caring, and strong girl. I pray she gets stronger everyday!”

Katherine’s family is asking for prayers and support through this hardship. “Let’s help alleviate some of the stress by  continued prayers  and giving back to this incredible family,” says Bickley. To donate, find updates, and to share her story, visit Katherine’s GoFundMe page today.
