Miss Deer Park Scholarship Program – 2020

The Miss Deer Park Scholarship Association is actively working behind the scenes to begin preparation for the 2020 program, to be held at Deer Park High School on Saturday, March 14th, at 6pm.

Donors

Since 1995, over $95,000 in scholarship dollars have been awarded to many outstanding young women of our community. The scholarship program would love your support to continue to award these young women with scholarships to be used at accredited colleges or vocational schools following high school graduation. This year the Program is offering three levels for business donations: $25-75 = Bronze Donor; $76-150 = Silver Donor; or $151 and above = Gold Donor.

Additionally, if you would like to make an individual contribution, you can become a Memory Keeper by making a donation of any size.

Checks should be made payable to: Miss Deer Park Scholarship Association and mailed to PO Box 1836, Deer Park, WA 99006. Any questions, please email [email protected]

Participants

What else is needed to put on a good program? Participation! The Program volunteers work hard to prepare the participants for a memorable evening showcasing you while helping you to prepare for your future endeavors. The Program consists of five categories: presence and composure, physical fitness, creative & performing arts, scholastics, and judge’s interview.

If you are currently a junior lady in the Deer Park school district, please consider attending the mandatory parent and contestant meeting on Tuesday, January 7th, at 6pm in the Ken Fisher Memorial Auditorium at Deer Park High School. At this meeting, attendees will receive a schedule of events for the family, a presentation about what to expect in the coming months, and the option to ask questions. Practices will typically be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 – 8pm. The volunteers will do their best to work with those wishing to participate, so please attend this meeting if you are at all interested.

This program awards thousands of dollars in scholarships each year, and you can only earn the honor of being a recipient if you participate, so don’t miss your opportunity and look back later wishing you had taken that chance. Any questions before the January meeting can be directed to [email protected]
