Students from Deer Park Middle School participated in a citywide, hands-on service project. This year the project involved six different service projects including washing windows, planting flowers, painting bleachers, clearing trails, and picking up trash.
Deer Park’s 7th graders worked hard to serve their community this spring in their 5th annual spring clean up. The group was divided up and taken all over Deer Park proper.
The students picked up litter along the school’s adopted roadways of Colville Road and H Street. A window washing crew served the community at Deer Park Crossing; one resident, Donna McDonald, then provided the team with water bottles and ice cream sandwiches. There were many other projects taking place at the same time in various areas of town. These 7th graders worked very hard and did an excellent job.
Along with the middle schoolers, the Deer Park High School Key Club also sent volunteers who assisted staff and helped oversee project activities.
