Dylan Hall and Aiden Shroyer stepped forward proudly to receive their commemorative Buck knives from Mayor Verzal at the City Council meeting on April 3rd.

When asked about what Eagle Scout projects they had completed in order to earn their new rank, Hall said that he “built the dugouts at the baseball field across the street from the high school”, while Shroyer stated that he “built a bench over at Zion Lutheran to remember all the veterans who served”.

Since the City of Deer Park cannot purchase these knives due to insurance reasons, the knives are purchased by various members of the city council on a rotating basis.
