Our Library Turns Twenty

The parking lot was full, the overflow lot was filling up quickly, and it was still two minutes before the official start time: Deer Park’s branch of the Spokane County Library District celebrated its twentieth year in its Forest Avenue location with food, music, and a packed building.

Festivities included fun face-painting for the kids, a gorgeous selection of meats and cheeses for the adults, delicious cake, and the soft-spoken music of Brad Keeler and Linda Parman. The harmonious duo was actually hired by the library system to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the conclusion of the first World War (find future events here: https://www.scld.org/wwi-programs/) but provided library patrons with a beautiful soundscape while they partied.

Interested in making the next twenty years even better? Get more information at https://www.scld.org/volunteer/ and keep the party going.
