Habitat for Humanity is asking the community to join together to build hope, one nail at a time. The 22nd anniversary Blitz Build started this week, and it will continue until the 16th of this month with a double home dedication event. There is still time to volunteer; spots are still available.
Habitat for Humanity-Spokane held an exceptional “Home for the Holidays” celebration in Deer Park, for two local families. This home dedication was a virtual event streamed live on Facebook.
COVID-19 has brought delays and changes to many events in our area, and it has had a major impact on the efforts of non-profit groups like Habitat for Humanity. According to their Summer 2020 newsletter, “our Homeownership Program has seen a 300% increase in applications compared to last year”.
Habitat for Humanity-Spokane’s Blitz Build event is coming back to Deer Park’s Hope Meadows, August 3-14, but they need volunteers and sponsors to step up
