Letter To The Editor: Caleb Stapp Endorsement

My name is Craig Phillips. I graduated from DPHS in 2001, and am now the lead Pastor of Clayton Community Church. I am married to my high school sweetheart, we have two young daughters, and both care about preserving a family friendly culture in Deer Park. That is why I will proudly vote for Caleb Stapp as the next City Council Member (seat 4). I have known Caleb for over five years and have worked with him on a number of community projects and events. He is a good man who loves his family, Deer Park, and would be an excellent Councilman for our city.

Unfortunately, the system in which we live, plays to only two parties, that hold a strangle hold on power. As such what is one then to assume? That my identity in Christ is dependent upon who I vote for or don’t vote for? Shall I say then that it is my Christian Duty to vote for Biden or Trump? Neither statement is valid. On Thursday, February 1″ the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams from Riverside traveled to Newport for the final regular-season games against the Grizzlies. Both girls’ teams experienced injuries to key players during the season and had endured humiliating lopsided losses. In the first meeting, Riverside had won by 30.
