Deer Park Volunteer Ambulance, in cooperation with the Settlers Organization, enjoyed a wonderful turnout for the Health, Safety and Wellness Fair held at Mix Park after the Settlers Day Parade.
We appreciate all of the vendors who provided information that helped educate our community members. The Fair was also made possible by those who contributed through a sponsorship. We are grateful for the support in our fundraising efforts, and in our efforts to give back to the community through health, safety and wellness education.
The funds raised this year will help purchase a new piece of medical equipment that will assist paramedics in their efforts to establish an airway on an unconscious patient. The equipment is technologically advanced and will be an asset to providing advanced patient care. Ultimately, this will contribute to a better success rate in resuscitating a patient.
