The Deer Park Float at Chataqua

The same group of volunteers can be found the night before each event at the Float Barn, ensuring the engine starts, the moving pieces all work, the entire float is clean and fresh, and that the music is loud and everything is ready to roll! After a very warm week, with temperatures in the mid to high 90’s, the Deer Park Float Association and Miss Deer Park Representatives could be found on the evening of Friday, July 13th, doing these tasks in order to prepare for the Chewelah parade on Saturday morning at Chataqua. So much work happens behind the scenes to create the fun and lively float we all get to experience in the various community parades.

At Chataqua this year, our Deer Park Float left with the 2nd place overall title this year. What a great honor!
