Loving Wife & Mother Beth Ann Oiland

Beth Ann Oiland, 70, of Deer Park, WA, passed away on November 19, 2024 after a brief battle with lung cancer.

Beth was born on March 30th, 1954 to Eldeen Bennett & Fred Peche in Riverton, WY. After Beth graduated from Deer Park High School in 1972, she went on to become a stay at home mom to three great kids.

In 1982, Beth got together with Bruce Oiland at their 10-year class reunion. Beth & Bruce went on to be married 38 years raising their boys Todd, Kris & Trevor.

Deer Park resident since 1966. Marched in the Rose Bowl Parade in High School, avid sports mom, Eagles drill team in the ‘80s, fisherwomen, enjoyed pool & darts, a love for gambling & a huge sports fan enjoying the Cougs & Seahawks.

Beth was predeceased by her grandparents Henry & Violet Lewis, her parents John & Eldeen Bennett, her brother Russ Hall & step-sister Diana Carr. She is survived by her loving husband Bruce Oiland; her sons Todd (Melinda) Weger, Kris Oiland, Trevor (Lindsay) Weger; her grandchildren Kate, Riley, Makayla, Jocelyn, Jacoby, Mya, Jukka, Ariella, Rykker; and great grandchild Jeremiah; and siblings brothers Randy (Nina) Bennett, Richard (Sarah) Bennett, sisters Cheryl (Jeff) Owens, Connie (Scott) LeLaCheur; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Services will be held at Turning Point Church, 11911 N Division St., Spokane, WA 99218 on Monday, November 25th at 2pm. Pastor Scott & Connie will be presiding the memorial service.

Fire At Sculley’s Auto Quickly Extinguished

Fire erupted from a van parked in front of Sculley’s on Monday. A quick response by Spokane County Fire District #4 crews prevented a vehicle fire from spreading to the structure. Traffic was blocked on A Street for a short time while crews worked on the fire.
