Rescue Pup Play Yard

Colville Valley Animal Sanctuary (CVAS) is celebrating the opening of their new puppy pad and dog play yard.

The community helped raise $1,200 for the new puppy pad and enhanced dog play area that enables CVAS to take in pregnant dogs, or young puppies, something they have not been able to do in the past.  This new concrete slab will help protect puppies by giving them an easy to clean space to run and play.  The improved outdoor play area will give the dogs the ability to learn, socialize, and enjoy free time running and fetching.

Come celebrate with CVAS and their adoptable critters Saturday, July 13th, at 11:30am for the ribbon cutting, followed by free goodies, hot dogs, and drinks.

About CVAS

Colville Valley Animal Sanctuary doesn’t just rescue dogs, they take in all sorts of animals, and currently have kittens and bunnies available for adoption. The rescue needs volunteers 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including holidays.  Donations, both one time gifts or recurring pledges, are also extremely important.

Chicken Discussion At City Hall

Mayor Tim Verzal has asked Mary Hathaway to represent the group in favor of chickens; she accepted the role with the support of those in attendance who thought it was an eggs-cellent idea.
