The Deer Park Stags Varsity Baseball team has 3 wins and 1 loss. They began at East Valley. Earlier that day before the game, Senior, Robert Bolton (Shortstop and right fielder) talked to me about how he is confident in the team this year. They have all been playing together for while and there is a lot of trust within the team. Their first game was a win against East Valley, 9-1. During the game Nathan Bouldin, a senior at Deer Park, pitcher and second year varsity player, struck out six East Valley players. The boys had their first double-header game against the St George Dragons. Both games ended in wins for Deer Park, 9-0 and 7-1. Sophomore, Hunter Dryden and the rest of the Deer Park pitching team struck out the Dragons 11 times throughout the entire game. During the second game, Junior and Deer Park catcher, Ryson Sweeney had three hits with two stolen bases. The Stags had their first home game this month against the Pullman Greyhounds. Despite great effort the Stags came up short 5-12. Runs were made by Seniors, Trayton Bird with two, Robert Bolton, and Kooper Tobeck, along with Junior Ryson Sweeney. Deer Park has two games left this month, an away game March 27 at Freeman against the Freeman Scotties and a home game March 30 against the Lakeside Eagles.
