Kurt Loth Langland

Kurt Loth Langland passed away unexpectedly on February 15, 2022.

He was born to Raymond K. and Geraldine (Gerry) G. Langland on February 28, 1953 in Leon, Iowa. At his death, Kurt was 68 years old living in Yuma, Arizona with his wife of 42 years, Martha Frick Langland. He is survived by his wife, three sons – Erik Clement Langland, Brent James Langland, and Joel Steven Langland, five grandchildren (Hannah, Mateo, Paloma, Titus and Samuel Langland), and his mother, Gerry. Kurt and Martha’s greatest joy was spending time with their sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren.

For almost thirty years Kurt was a minister of the gospel serving two churches. He served Nishna Church of Christ in Red Oak, Iowa for eleven years and Christ’s Church of Deer Park in Deer Park, Washington for seventeen years. While in Deer Park, Kurt made numerous mission trips to support the Christian believers in Pakistan with Key Communications.

A man of God in the will of God is immortal until God calls him home. Well done good and faithful servant.

Memorial services to be held on March 12, 2022 at First Christian Church, 3261 S Ave 6 E Yuma, AZ 85365. Kurt’s family asks that if you are so moved you may make a memorial donation to Key Communications (keycom.org) in his memory.

Shirley McRae Passes Away at 91

Shirley Eleanor (Kintschi) McRae, 91, of Spokane and formerly Deer Park, passed away on December 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Shirley was born to Morris Kintschi and Anna (Tanner) Kintschi on April 29, 1934, in Edwall, Washington. She graduated from Edwall High School in 1952, where she met her husband-to-be, John McRae. John and Shirley were married in 1954, and they lived in Redondo Beach, California, while John served in the U.S. Navy. They returned to Spokane in 1955, living on Five Mile Prairie, then at Dartford, and finally in the house that John designed and built in Deer Park in 1976, where the family lived for over 42 years.
